Backstage Photoproject for Staatstheater Kassel
In an effort to honour this final season in their traditional venues, Staatstheater Kassel asked me to capture their various ensembles and departments. These portraits, featured in their 2024/25 season brochure, designed by Georg Reinhardt, provide a glimpse behind the scenes, documenting the daily life on, in front of, and behind Staatstheater Kassel’s stages.
It was a privilege to convey the passionate efforts that go into each production. Exploring the wide array of settings, each with its own character, was particularly enjoyable for me, given my background as a professional dancer. This connection allowed me to capture the dedication and artistry behind the performances.
Every member, from the performers to the technicians, plays a vital role in creating the memorable experiences that the audience enjoys. Through these photographs, I hope to convey not only the passion and effort that go into every production but also the unique stories and emotions of Staatstheater Kassel.
